Easy Homemade Salad Dressings

Are you sick of spending a lot of money for Salad Dressings that are healthy?  Even the healthy ones sometimes aren't healthy!  Well, lucky for you, Salad Dressings are so easy to whip up in a matter of minutes, and you know what is in it…..AND it's healthier…AND you save money =)



Here are some of my favs!

Balsamic Vinaigrette (makes 8 servings--about 2 Tbsp. Each serving)

6 Tbsp.  Balsamic Vinegar
1/4 cup  Fresh Lemon Juice
1 tsp.     Raw Honey
2 tsp.     Dijon Mustard
6 Tbsp.  Extra Virgin Olive Oil



Combine vinegar, lemon juice, and honey in a medium bowl: whisk to blend.  Stir in mustard and mix well.  Slowly add oil while whisking; mix well.

Lime-Basil Vinaigrette  (makes 7 servings--about 2 Tbsp. each serving)

1/4 cup   Fresh Lime Juice
1/4 cup   Finely chopped shallot
6             Fresh Basil Leaves, finely chopped
4 tsp.      Dijon Mustard
1/4 tsp.   Sea Salt or Himalayan Salt
1/4 tsp.   Ground Black Pepper
6 Tbsp.   Extra Virgin Olive Oil



Combine lime juice, shallot, basil, mustard, salt, and pepper in a small bowl; whisk to blend.  Slowly add oil, whisking continuously, until blended.

Creamy Mint Dressing   (makes 12 servings--about 2 Tbsp. each)

1                      Medium Avocado
1 and 1/2 cups Non-Fat Plain Greek Yogurt
1/4 cup            Fresh Mint, finely chopped
3 Tbsp.            Red Wine Vinegar
1/4 tsp.            Sea Salt/Himalayan Salt
1 dash             Ground White Pepper
1/2 cup            Extra Virgin Olive Oil



Place Avocado, yogurt, mint, vinegar, salt, and pepper in blender; cover.  Blend until smooth.  Slowly add oil, blending, continuously, until well mixed.

Strawberry Vinaigrette

1 cup     Extra-Virgin Olive Oil
1 cup     Fresh Strawberries, quartered
2 Tbsp.  Balsamic Vinegar
2 Tbsp.  Honey
1 tsp.     Kosher/Sea Salt
1 tsp.     Ground Black Pepper
1/4 tsp.  Dried Tarragon.

Mix together all ingredients and enjoy!



Mango, Cilantro, Lime Dressing

1 Cup   Mango
1 Tbsp.  Dried Cilantro
1/4 cup  Lime Juice
1 Tbsp.  Olive Oil
2 Tbsp.  Organic/Raw Sugar
Salt and Pepper to taste

Add all ingredients into a blender, and enjoy!





Mandarin Dressing

1/4 cup  Balsamic Vinegar
1/4 cup  Orange Juice
1/2 cup  Olive Oil
1 Tbsp.  Poppy Seeds
1 Tbsp.  Dijon Mustard
Salt to tast

Whisk together vinegar, juice, poppy seeds, mustard, and salt.  Slowly add in the Olive oil, stirring continuously.



Olive Oil and Lemon

1/2 cup  Olive Oil
1 cup     Lemon Juice
8           Garlic Cloves, chopped
1/2 tsp.  Black Pepper
1 tsp.     Salt

Whisk together lemon juice, garlic, salt, and pepper.  Slowly add in olive oil, stirring continuously.



Honey Mustard

1 and 1/2 Tbsp.  Olive Oil
3 T                     Non-Fat Plain Greek Yogurt
1/4 cup               Balsamic Vinegar
1 Tbsp.               Soy Sauce
1 and 1/2 Tbsp.  Dijon Mustard
1 and 1/2 Tbsp.  Honey

Mix together all ingredients and enjoy!
